New Research and So What Questions

Research Question: Why do men and women have such different opinions one what is funny to them? Does this play a role in the power play between males and females when it comes to comedy? Is there any truth behind the saying that women are not funny?

Summary and So what: In order to really look at the question of whether women are or aren’t funny we have to look at the differences between what men and women find funny and decide if that plays any role in the males opinion on women in comedy. This paper is going to look at those subjects and try to prove that women are indeed funny but it is only the fact that we are so different that makes female comedians less funny to men unless they use material that men can relate to.
